PicMonkey is an exceptional online image editor with basic features for editing any file type of the genus. The application provides tools for cropping, resizing and color changes, as well as a variety of effect filters and customization options, such as text and other items that can be attached to the image.

For now, the service offers some features “premium” for free, because there is still no system of registration. However, when it is possible to make records, PicMonkey will allow you to pay to use all features. Anyway, the amount of premium features is not large and diverse.
Section PicMonkey basic editing features six tools: cut, rotate, exposure, colors, sharpen and resize. Each offers some specific options when you click on them. Moreover, there is the button “Auto adjust”, which performs automatic adjustment settings for color, exposure and sharpening of the photograph.
Probably the most interesting part of PicMonkey, the effects section of the application has dozens of filters at your disposal. Like the other tools of the program, all of them can also be configured before applying the image, thus allowing a greater level of customization.
Altogether, the PicMonkey offers 25 different filters, organized into categories: Basic, Camera Look, Paintbox, Area, and Artsy. Some of them are marked as “premium”, however, as stated earlier, you can still use them freely and without performing any kind of registration.
The section touches, as the name makes clear, is to fix small image details. This part is intended more for the release of photographs of people, because it allows you to “smooth out” the photographed, as well as change the color and brightness of the eyes, remove the dreaded red eye and even “reduce weight” of the photo model.
A good editor should allow you to add text on image and PicMonkey is no different. There are nearly 30 options from different sources and, furthermore, you can format it to your liking by selecting the font size, enabling the bold and italic options, and also setting the alignment of what was written. Also, you can move the text box freely by the figure.
The penultimate section of PicMonkey allows you to add new items to the small image, such as hearts, stars, different symbols, arrows, emoticons, chat and thought balloons of comic books and more. There are 14 options divided into three categories: General, Seasonal and Flowrr Powrr.
The PicMonkey also offers frames to those who make use of it. There are five different options to give an edge to your image, and they range from rounded corners to form Polaroid style. Here, you can also manually edit some of the options you chose, making it even more personalized.
